Here are some upcoming recycling events to remember for the month of September.
- Garbage Pick Up is back to once a week.
- Residents with Monday Recycling Pick Up will have their recycling picked up this Saturday, Sept.9th in place of Labor Day (Monday, Sept.4th)
- Townwide Garage Sale is this weekend. Saturday, September 9th and Sunday, September 10th. Sale hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, September 16th is the Mobile Paper Shredding Event at the Springfield Pool (44 Morrison Road) from 9am to 1pm.
- Bulk Pick Up is September 20th. Please remember to leave everything out by Tuesday night, it will be collected over the next 2 days.
- Union County will be holding Scrap Metal Drop Off events on September 7th and September 16th. From 9am to 12pm Union County residents can drop off their scrap metal at either the Emergency Services Building located at 151 Kenilworth Boulevard in Cranford, or the service yard at Rahway River Park. - Union County will be holding a free Household Hazardous Waste event on Saturday, September 9th. From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Union College, which is located at 1033 Springfield Avenue in Cranford. The event will take place in parking lots 5A and 5B.
