Last night was the 2nd and last concert of the Summer Concert Series (the 1st having taken place back in July). The event, sponsored by the Springfield Business Improvement District, was held to thank all the residents for their support to local businesses. Yesterday residents were treated to a performance by the band The Bottle Caps on the Town Hall Lawn. Again there was free ice cream provided by Scream Truck, thanks to the Springfield BID.Â
It was a beautiful night with great weather, and the sun didn’t start to go down until around 7:30 pm. Many Springfield residents came out for the concert with their chairs and blankets to enjoy free ice cream, great music, and some summer sun.Â
The Bottle Caps started the event with their rendition of Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind. Their set list consisted of Santeria by Sublime, We Can Work It Out by The Beatles, Black Horse and the Cherry Tree by KT Tunstall, I’m Yours by Jason Mraz and more. Band members Bob, Tony, and Sarah (pictured below left to right) gave an amazing performance. They even performed a few encores at the request of concert goers, playing until around 8:15 pm. Â
It was a perfect end to the summer season!Â
