This past Saturday, Santa Claus made a trip to the Township of Springfield to see everyone and spread some holiday cheer. Santa was driven around the streets of town by Deputy Mayor Chris Weber, Committeeman Chris Capodice, and Committeewoman Erica Dubois. The Grinch was also along for the ride, inside his own personal time out seat.
The Springfield Fire Department and the Springfield Police Department provided an escort for Santa through the streets, keeping everyone safe and sounding the horn to let everyone know Santa was near.
Committeeman Chris Capodice shared this message to residents on Facebook, along with a picture.
“Another successful visit from Santa Claus to Springfield! Thank you to Santa and the Grinch. Extra special thanks to Firefighters Pat Federico and Joe Cowper for being our escorts today, as well the entire Springfield Fire Department for all of their prep work building Santa’s sleigh and the Grinch‘s cage. We were also grateful to be joined by members of the Springfield auxiliary police. The entire Township Committee was grateful for the opportunity to spread so many smiles across Springfield, especially the children. Happy Holidays to all!”
