During Tuesday (Jan.4) night’s Township Reorganization meeting Alexander Keiser and Chris Weber were sworn in as Mayor and Deputy Mayor. Both were accompanied by their families to celebrate. Democrats Keiser and Weber both won re-election to new three-year terms in November. Certificates of election were presented to them by Union County Clerk Joanna Rajoppi (pictured below).
Township Clerk, Linda Donnelly, administered the Oath of Office to Township Committee Member Elect Chris Weber.
“This has been a rough few years up here, for all of us right now. I am thankful that I have this team assembled. They’re like Avengers. Linda, Mary Ellen, Diane, and Craig, what you guys have all helped me get through last year was incredible. I’m glad that we’re all still here. Thank you”
-Deputy Mayor Chris Weber
Honorable Assemblyman John “Jack” McKeon administered the Oath of Office to Township Member Elect Alexander Keiser. Assemblyman McKeon had this to say about Mayor Kesier, “He embodies all that’s good as to that word of public servant.”
“It’s certainly humbling and an honor to be re-elected knowing that Springfield is liking the direction that we’re going. Up here, we’ve got a great team, like Chris said. This is going to be our fourth year together, which is pretty remarkable. I look forward to continuing and finally getting to lead us. – Thank you to the people of Springfield for having your trust in us and I look forward to giving back throughout this year. “
-Mayor Alex Keiser
