The holidays are just around the corner and there’s still plenty of time to help out those in need.
Springfield HOPE (Helping Other People Endure) is a nonprofit charity outreach program based in Springfield. In previous years they ran Toys For Springfield Kids, where they accepted new toy donations. The toys were stored, prepared, and distributed by the trustees themselves. As there is still an ongoing pandemic; running a safe toy drive would be challenging this year. So Springfield HOPE has decided on an alternative way to support Springfield families.
Instead of holding a toy drive, Springfield HOPE will be running a gift card drive. Gift cards are found to be easier to distribute and easier for those who receive them. With the cards families can get exactly what they need and get the exact presents the children want. It’s less pressure for donators as well, no need to choose a toy, just choose an amount for the gift card.
Gift Cards will be collected until December 10th and can be dropped off or mailed to Hecht Family Chiropractic (201 Mountain Ave). All gift cards are accepted but cards from Walmart, Target, and Amazon would be preferred.
