Attention Residents,
As we move closer to the new year please keep in mind the important registration and license renewal dates that are fast approaching. Below is a list of licenses that are issued by the Township of Springfield, along with the due dates and further information.
- Annual alarm registrations are due no later than January 15, 2022. Please visit https://alarms.springfield-nj.us to submit your 2022 registration and payment in the amount of $15.00.
- Dog and cat licenses are due January 31. You must fill out and complete the application found on the Registrar page of the town website. Along with the application, proof of rabies and proof of spay/neuter (if applicable) is required. If your dog or cat is spayed/neutered, the fee is $10; $15 if they are not. Only cash and checks are accepted. Residents may still register their pets after the due date but the fee increases by $1 each month after January.
- Please be aware that all taxicab licenses expire on Dec.31st in the year they were issued. Taxicab and limousine licenses/permits applications can be obtained from the Township Registrar. Anyone applying will need to fill out the complete application, show proof of insurance, a valid driver’s license and pay the fee. The fee for taxicab driver’s licenses is $50, for a limousine service the fee is $50 for, and $10 for each vehicle.
- Don’t forget any food vendor, vending machines, used cars, pools, health clubs, gas pumps, clothing bins, and hotel/motel licenses that need to be renewed. These are renewed by our Township Clerk; all applications can be obtained from the Clerk page of the website.
- Also remember any parking permits that need to be renewed. Municipal parking renewals are due January 31st.
