Pride Month Flag Raising on Friday, May 30Celebrate Pride Month in Springfield on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the annual flag raising event in the front parking lot of the Chisholm Community Center (100 South Springfield Avenue)! In the case of bad weather, we will move indoors. The program begins at 4:30 pm with Summit Soundz DJ music and dancing, and informational tables and give-ways including Halo Roasters, Elvira Chaush of NY Life, Union County Office of LGBTQ Affairs, Jonathan Dayton High School GSA, and more to be announced. At 5:00 pm, we will gather for greetings by the Springfield Township Committee and a member of the Union County Board of County Commissioners, a special proclamation, performances by Taye McQueen and students from Jonathan Dayton High School, and the raising of the rainbow flag. To conclude the event, volunteers and staff will lead children’s crafts and parking lot chalking, and distribute free rainbow ices.
