Several days ago we had posted information regarding the robbery at ConnectOne Bank in town.
I am glad to be able to announce that the suspect in that robbery, Thomas J. Ingram; 37, from Bayonne, NJ, has been apprehended in Bayonne.
Our detectives had a positive identification on the suspect and his vehicle within an hour or so of the robbery and had located and impounded his vehicle that night.
For reasons of not interfering with the investigation, certain information was not released and would not be until the suspect was in custody for concern of his “disappearing” and becoming more difficult to locate.
Our detectives coordinated with agents from the FBI, who were looking for an unknown suspect in other bank robberies and we were able to assist in getting Ingram positively identified for these robberies as well.
Ingram is currently incarcerated in the Atlantic County Justice Facility where he will be held until he is picked up on our warrant and brought here to face our charges.
