As yesterday was Veterans Day, Springfield held a Veterans Day Ceremony to honor our town’s veterans and thank them for their service. The event was held at Veterans Memorial Park. Speeches were given (pictured below in order) by Gerry Gebauer; commander of American legion post 228 and Veteran Gerry McManus. Mayor Chris Weber read the proclamation, and Father David Santos of St. James Church gave a benediction. The ceremony ended with a group picture of our veterans.
