The Annual Fall Festival & Car Show had a huge turn out this past Sunday. The festival kicked off at 11 am and ended at 5pm with the music continuing while everything was taken down. Tons of people came out to enjoy the beautiful weather, food trucks, and live music from bands such as TreeOh!, Distortion, and more. There was also the vintage car show, multiple vendors, and horse drawn carriage rides (courtesy of Kafka Farms) for everyone.
Festival goers got to enjoy a vast selection of food trucks; Tacos Daisis, Angelo’s Kitchen, The Blended Bistro, Stop Drop N Roll, Joanie’s Diner, Relish The Dog, Let’s Have A Ball, The Chippery, Pokok Thai Cuisine, Mr. Cooper’s Funneland, Il Forno A Legna pizza, and Magliones Italian Ice. With tables set up next to the library for people to sit and eat comfortably. The food trucks were sponsored by Wolf premier property.
There were multiple activities for the kids; train rides around the Townhall lawn, a petting zoo (sponsored by Keller Williams Realty), carnival game booth, sand art booth, bouncy house, and multiple inflatable obstacle courses. They even got the chance to get up close and personal with a First Aid Squad vehicle and learn how a patient is strapped into a stretcher.
Along with the amazing food and activities there were also a lot of vendors at the festival. They were selling baked goods, handmade knitted products, cotton candy, candles, jewelry, handmade glass products, vintage tees, a fall themed photo shoot, and even venus fly traps plants were being sold at a one booth.
There were also tables for residents to get to know Township groups such as the Springfield Recreation Department, Environmental Commission & Green Team, Springfield Emergency Management, Springfield First Aid Squad, and more. The Daughters of the American Revolution, American Legion Post#228, ConnectOne Bank, Valley Bank, Shoprite, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts also had tables at the festival.
Overall the festival was a huge hit! Thank you to everyone who had a hand in putting it together.
