Recreation Department Announces March 2025 Calendar for Residents 55+
As Spring approaches, March 2025 will be a busy month for Springfield residents ages 55+! The calendar includes: a variety of games such as poker, dominos, rummikub, mahjong, and puzzles; computer lab; open-play pickleball at the Chisholm Community Center (free annual registration required); “Shape Up with Liz” and “Music & Movement with Lisa” exercise classes (free annual registration required); fitness room open on weekdays from 9:00 am-8:00 pm (free annual registration required); Springfield Senior Citizens Club meeting (members must RSVP by 3/21/25); lunch bus trip to Anthony Francos Pizzeria in Springfield (RSVP); “Exercise, Moves, & Music” with the Union Health Department (RSVP); and a bus trip to the NJ Hall of Fame ($20 in advance).
Eligible residents ages 55+ are encouraged to make an appointment to donate blood at the Chisholm Community Center on Friday, March 21, from 1:00-7:00 pm, by calling (732) 672-5281. Use code #70915.
Free weekday in-Springfield bus service is available from 9:00 am-3:30 pm (with some exceptions such as holidays; bus maintenance; and special bus trips). Advance reservations are highly encouraged. Please call (973) 912-2227.
