In honor of Veterans Day, Townhall will be illuminated using green bulbs from November 6-12, 2023, as part of Operation Green Light for Veterans. This is a nationwide initiative that brings together counties to show support for military veterans.
This campaign aims to raise awareness about the unique challenges that many veterans face and highlight the available resources at the county, state, and federal levels to assist veterans and their families. In 2022, more than 300 counties across the nation participated in Operation Green Light.
Residents, businesses, and other organizations are encouraged to join in by simply replacing one of their light bulbs with a green one. This can be an outdoor light visible to neighbors and passersby or an indoor light that sparks conversations with family and friends.
