Springfield HOPE (Helping Other People Endure) is once again holding a gift card drive. Springfield HOPE is a nonprofit charity outreach program based in Springfield. It was created as a connection for residents and businesses in Springfield to be able to help individuals and families cope with extraordinary circumstances throughout the year. More information can be found on their website.
Last year because of the pandemic, it was decided to do a gift card drive instead of a toy drive. Gift cards were found to be easier to distribute and easier for those who receive them. With the cards families can get exactly what they need and get the exact presents the children want. It’s less pressure for donators as well, no need to choose a toy or gift, just choose an amount for the gift card. So Springfield HOPE has decided on this alternative way to support Springfield families during the holiday season. Residents still have time to help out those in need.
Gift Cards will be collected until December 9th and can be dropped off or mailed to Hecht Family Chiropractic (201 Mountain Ave). All gift cards are accepted but cards from Walmart, Target, and Amazon would be preferred. The cards will be distributed the week of December 12th.
