During the upcoming week, library staff members will be working alongside members of the Springfield DPW staff and outside contractors to put the finishing touches in place in anticipation of the grand reopening of the Springfield Free Public Library at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 14.
The library is ready to accept back books and AV materials that you have been holding onto. You will be able to use the outdoor drops on Center Street and at the library’s front door to return items according to the following schedule:
Monday & Tuesday, March 7-8 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Wednesday & Thursday, March 9-10 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Friday, March 11 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday, March 12 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Just for this one week, the outdoor drops will be locked at all times other than those listed above. When the book drops are locked, please do not try to force open the doors or leave items next to the drops or by any of the library’s entrances.
