Clean up continues throughout the town. Please place all damaged items and materials curbside for bulk pickup. This pickup will be in addition to the regularly scheduled bulk pickup. All electronics and corded appliances should be dropped off at the pool recycling garage. If you are unable to drop off large items such a refrigerators, dryers, etc, leave them curbside and they will be picked up. The bulk services will not be taking televisions, microwaves and smaller corded appliances.
Residents of Warner, Marion, Alvin streets. Dues to the extreme damage of that area, 30 yard dumpsters will be dropped off to those streets, in the next few days, to assist with the clean up. Fill the dumpsters up and the bulk services company will pick them up and replace them as needed.
I have visited block after block through Springfield daily. I apologize if I may have not crossed paths with some of you during those times. There is so much to cover throughout the town. I try to spend as much time as possible but still be able to reach others. Thank you for understanding.
Stay safe,
Mayor Chris Weber
