We will be increasing standard residential garbage collection to twice a week from Memorial Day through early September. Depending on your street location (north or south of Mountain Ave), you will either have trash picked up on Mondays and Thursdays, or Tuesdays and Fridays. [1, 2]

- South of Mountain Avenue: Pickups are every Monday and Thursday.
- North of Mountain Avenue: Pickups are every Tuesday and Friday. [1]

- Summer Schedule: This twice-a-week trash pickup runs from the week of Memorial Day through August (ending the first week of September).
- Holiday Adjustments: If your scheduled extra pickup day falls on an observed holiday (e.g., Memorial Day, Labor Day), the garbage is not collected that day. Check the Township of Springfield DPW Brochure for exact makeup dates.
