NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – CALDWELL PLACE
Phase 1
As a result of test pits completed in August, it was determined that a jack-and-bore installation at this location is not feasible as originally planned. CRJ will be continuing the project on behalf of American Water.
To retire the existing 12″ cast-iron water main beneath the culvert, crews will be installing insertion valves, thrust blocks, and a shallow-bury bypass water main. The roadway will be closed 7AM to 3PM for the duration of this first phase.
Once the culvert is removed, a new 16″ water main with casing will be installed across the stream, followed by removal of the temporary bypass piping when culvert work is complete.
Phase 2 will be conducted by the County and announced once the Township has received all the details. Information will then be passed on to our residents on all socials, websites and media platforms.
Road Closure Details
· Location: Caldwell Place from Mountain Ave to Rose Ave
· Start Date: Monday, November 24, 2025
· Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
· Duration: 12/31/25
· Reason: Utility work in advance of the upcoming bridge replacement project
· Access: Road closed to all vehicular traffic during work hours; reopened afterward daily
