Updates from the Township Committee Meeting held on January 14th.

  • Recycling Update
    • The new 2025 Recycling Schedule is up on the website now. 
    • Plastics bags are not permitted in recycling cans. Cans with plastic bags will not be picked up. The reason being; the recycling gets put on a belt and goes through a machine but the plastic bags get caught in the machine and then have to be manually removed by someone. 
    • Please put recycling out in a can with a lid to prevent it from blowing away. 
  • Equipment is been prepped and ready for plowing and salting in the event of a storm. 
  • Crews are continuing with cleaning and maintaining all of our storm water basins.
    • Continuing removing all the holiday decorations around town. 
    • Continuing street sweeping and collecting trees. 
    • Scheduling tree maintenance and cleaning our parks and other town properties. 
  • Leaf Collection has ended. 
  • PEOSHA surprise visit, some violations were found but they have been corrected and no fines were given to the Township.

  • Patriot Way 
    • Images were show during meeting, starting at 23:30. Can be seen on YouTube. 
  • Gomes 
    • Monthly meeting was held last week.
    • Some motions have been filed in court
    • Sidewalk and lighting  on Center Street is not finished.
