DPW

Recycling
- Plastics bags are not permitted in recycling cans. Cans with plastic bags will not be picked up. The reason being; the recycling gets put on a belt and goes through a machine but the plastic bags get caught in the machine and then have to be manually removed by someone.
- Please put recycling out in a can with a lid to prevent it from blowing away.
Snow Storm
- Our DPW’s main focus has been on weather events since the January 17th storm.
- The recent storm on Sunday dumped approximately 20 inches over a 24-hour period. The DPW maintained passable roads for emergency services throughout the storm despite receiving up to 3′ per hour in blizzard conditions.
- Once the storm passed on Monday crews began making their final pass through their assigned zones, having the town completely open by 6:00 PM Monday evening just 5 hours after the storm ended. Some streets could not receive the final pass due to residents and contractors cleaning their driveways and cars. To avoid conflict, DPW returned at 2:00 am this morning to complete those final streets.
- DPW has moved on to clearing public sidewalks, crosswalks, bus stops, and school zones etc.
Bulk Pick Up will be in March
- Requirements; what is and is not allowed will be on the township website closer to pick up date.

Oakland Park
- Three companies have been contacted, they are currently doing drawings/plans and will come up with recommendations and pricing.

- The building will be appraised and see how much it is worth
Duffy’s lot
- Work is still being done.
- Permit fee has been sent over, the final drawings and details, permit plans and reports should be ready within 2 weeks.
