Updates from the Township Committee Meeting held on November 25, 2025.

DPW

Recycling Update
- The new 2025 Recycling Schedule is up on the website now.
- Plastics bags are not permitted in recycling cans. Cans with plastic bags will not be picked up. The reason being; the recycling gets put on a belt and goes through a machine but the plastic bags get caught in the machine and then have to be manually removed by someone.
- Please put recycling out in a can with a lid to prevent it from blowing away.
Thursday’s Recycling Collection is moved to Friday the 28th.
Thursday Garbage Collection is moved to Saturday the 29th
Bulk Pick Up is December 10th.
- Residents are allowed to put out an amount/area that is within 3ft wide by 3ft high by 12ft long
- Restrictions: No construction material, no black plastic bags, no fluid of any kind, no vegetative waste, no tires, no rocks, no stones, no small electronics with a plug attached. These items will not be picked up.
Street Renovations
- Township paved two additional streets in November, Dayton Ct and Lincoln Place Rd. This brings the total street renovation in 2025 to 21.
- Township also received our annual DOT grant in the amount of 322,825.00 for Wabeno and Linden scheduled for 2026
Leaf Season
- DPW has begun the second round of leaf collection on the 21st.
- The collection zones are posted on the town website and Facebook.
- Crews are currently working in zones 3 and 4
- Piles with brush or any other unacceptable material are passed over leaving a letter at the address to remove the debris and the piles will be collected on the next round
- Piles should be a minimum of twenty feet from any storm drain.
- Collection runs through December 31. As always DPW has no particular schedule other than several crews canvassing the township on a daily basis

Other Updates

The Recreation Dept’s Senior bus was taken to the Township mechanic. There are some rattles caused by the wheelchair apparatus in the back. The mechanic tightened all that and checked everything thoroughly and there’s nothing wrong with it. It was decided that the Recreation Dept will borrow the Jitney bus whenever possible if needed.
Culvert Replacement
- Caldwell Place will continue to be closed from Rose Ave to Mountain Ave
- 8:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday – Friday until American Water completes the temporary bypass of the water main.
- Their work is expected to take approximately three weeks.

Developments

Gomes
- The site was visited several times this week, there are some issues that are being addressed.
- Some issues with dirt washing away where the paving is, it has to be dug out and a new footing has to be put in. Township engineer Michael Disko will make sure it is taken care of.
- Inspections are scheduled .
- No timeline for final inspections or CO
Patriot Way
- They are closed in so they will be working inside during the winter
Scottys
- Has been demolished.
- A meeting was held yesterday with the developer to make sure everything has been completed.
