The Springfield Recreation Department is excited to announce a new 6th-8th grade division of Chisholm Playground Camp in Summer 2025! Registration is now open online on Community Pass at https://register.communitypass.net/springfield.
Chisholm Playground Camp operates outside at Chisholm Park (100 South Springfield Avenue) and across the street at Florence M. Gaudineer Middle School multi-purpose field (75 South Springfield Avenue), as well as at nearby off-site locations. Some indoor activities are held in the Chisholm Community Center and a gymnasium at Florence M. Gaudineer Middle School. Chisholm Playground Camp is a Tuesday-Friday morning program (8:30 am-12:30 pm) that is supervised by an experienced adult director, assistant directors, and counselors (high school-age and older). Activities include sports, games, contests, theme days, Thursday off-site excursions or on-site special days, Fridays at the Springfield Community Pool, and much more! Campers should bring a light snack and a drink, unless noted on the weekly calendar. Lunch time is not a part of camp, unless noted on the weekly calendar. The camp runs for five individual weeks. You may register for any number of weeks. Please note: There is no camp on Mondays. Camp is open to children entering 6th through 8th grades (as of September 2025). Weekly fees are $130 for residents and $145 for non-residents. Spots are limited each week, and are first-come first-served with a completed and paid registration on Community Pass. After all spots in a camp week are filled, a waitlist is kept on Community Pass. Campers receive one t-shirt that must be worn every day. Additional t-shirts may be purchased for $10 each. No refunds after Friday, May 30, 2025, unless the spot is filled with a waitlist camper. $15 administrative fee for refunds, per Township Ordinance.
