I need to be fingerprinted for employment. Can this be done at the Police Department?

Fingerprinting for employment is available at the Police Department for Township residents only. Employers must provide the applicant with a blank fingerprint card in order to be fingerprinted. Please contact the Springfield Police Department at (973) 376-0400 to schedule an appointment for employment fingerprinting.

All other fingerprinting not related to employment is provided by an outside agency. Township residents will need to obtain a form from this Police Department in order to schedule an appointment. Please contact the Police Records office at (973) 912-2239 to obtain the necessary forms and for any other questions regarding fingerprinting and background checks.
