Responsibilities

Zoning ordinances are overseen by the Zoning Official. Issuing of zoning permits by the Zoning Official for all site improvements must be undertaken prior to the issuance of a Construction Permit. Zoning approvals are required for all building use and for all changes in use or tenancy of any rental space, building, or property. If a zoning permit is denied, the matter is referred to either the Planning Board or Board of Adjustment.
