Recreation Department Announces January 2025 Calendar for Residents 55+
We welcome the New Year with an active month of activities for Springfield residents ages 55+! The January 2025 calendar includes: a variety of games (monthly treats sponsored by Arbor Terrace Mountainside) such as poker, dominos, rummikub, mahjong, and puzzles; computer lab; open-play pickleball at the Chisholm Community Center (free annual registration required); “Shape Up with Liz” and “Movement & Music with Lisa” exercise classes (free annual registration required); fitness room open on weekdays from 9:00 am-8:00 pm (free annual registration required); rabies vaccine clinic; Springfield Senior Citizens Club meeting (must RSVP by 1/11/25); Union Health Department physical health presentation (RSVP); movie day with popcorn (RSVP); and a lunch bus trip to Ciao Bello in Cranford (RSVP).
Free weekday in-Springfield bus service is available from 9:00 am-3:30 pm (with some exceptions such as Martin Luther King Jr. Day; bus maintenance; and special bus trips). Advance reservations are highly encouraged. Please call (973) 912-2227.
