The Springfield Police Department Patrol Division consists of 28 uniformed officers, which includes 18 Patrol Officers, 8 Sergeants, and 2 Lieutenants. The Patrol Division is responsible for providing general law enforcement services, which include responding to calls for service, enforcing traffic laws, enforcing criminal laws, providing emergency medical care, and maintaining a visible presence within the community through directive patrol activities.
