Emergency: 911
Non-Emergency: (973) 376-0400
Location: 100 Mountain Ave, Springfield, NJ

The Community Policing Unit plays a vital role within the Springfield Police Department by bridging the gap between law enforcement and the community. As part of the department’s broader framework, which includes the Patrol Division, Traffic Division, and other specialized roles, the Community Policing Unit is tasked with the development of positive relationships, building trust, and addressing quality-of-life concerns through direct interaction with residents, businesses, schools, and community organizations. The Community Policing Unit’s focus is on proactive engagement, education, and collaboration with the community, ensuring that the Springfield Police Department remains connected and responsive to the needs of the public.
