The Traffic Division is a specialized unit within the Springfield Police Department, focusing on the enforcement of traffic laws, the investigation of motor vehicle crashes, and ensuring the safe movement of traffic throughout the community. The division plays a vital role in reducing traffic-related incidents, improving road safety, and supporting the overall law enforcement efforts of the department. As part of the broader department framework, which includes the Patrol Division, Community Policing Team, and other specialized units, the Traffic Division’s role is integral in addressing the traffic safety needs of Springfield.
